Looking to spend quality time outdoors as a family? Becoming an Outdoors Family is your invitation to unplug, try something new, and reconnect in the great outdoors. Canoe, hike, play, and unwind during this all-inclusive weekend at Eagle Bluff—where we handle the planning and provide the gear, so you can focus on what matters most.

Whether you’re brand new to the outdoors or longtime nature lovers, this weekend is designed for families to connect, explore, and create lasting memories together. Just pack your sense of adventure—we’ll take care of the rest.

No. All registration and payments are completed through CampDoc.

You’ll receive a detailed packing list about one month before your session. We provide most equipment—you’ll just need personal items, weather-appropriate clothing, and a sense of adventure.

Families stay together in our comfortable, climate-controlled dormitories. Rooms sleep up to 8 and include a private bathroom, sinks, and space for your gear. Shared lounges and common areas offer space to relax and connect.

Yes. You can note preferences during registration, and we’ll do our best to accommodate requests based on availability.

We can accommodate most dietary needs, including allergies and vegetarian preferences. Please include all information in your CampDoc health profile.


Our campus is peanut-free.

All meals and snacks are provided. What are meals like?
You’re welcome to bring your own snacks (no peanut products, please), but it’s not required—we’ll have plenty available if you prefer to travel light.
All food must be stored common areas only (not in dorm rooms) to avoid critters.

Everything is included in your registration. That said, you may want cash to browse our on-site gift shop, which features Eagle Bluff swag. Most items are priced between $15–$40.

Your stay includes a mix of guided and optional activities like canoeing, hiking, archery, high ropes, and more. You’ll select your activity preferences in your CampDoc profile before arrival.

Family Camp is flexible—you can participate in as much or as little as you’d like. Build your own experience.

Yes—phones are allowed.

We recommend leaving other electronics (such as cameras, laptops, or tablets) at home, as we cannot guarantee their safety.

To help you unplug and make the most of your time outdoors, we encourage limited phone use during your stay.

Not at all. Family Camp is designed for all experience levels—we provide the gear, guidance, and support.

All staff are trained in First Aid and CPR/AED. Minor injuries are treated onsite. If additional care is needed, we’ll coordinate next steps and communicate with you right away.

Nearby care options include clinics in Preston, Minnesota and emergency services in Rochester, Minnesota.
